About the Role
Join Techline Manufacturing as a CNC Machinist based in Scarborough, Ontario. This position requires hands-on work at the physical location, with no option for remote work. The role contributes to environmental sustainability, supporting efforts towards Canada's net-zero targets, fitting within the green jobs category.
Responsibilities
- Precisely measure and layout workpieces for assembly preparation.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables accurately.
- Set up, adjust, and operate production machinery and tools including both conventional and computer-controlled machines.
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Record and report any deviations from defined specifications and tolerances.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare thorough inspection reports.
- Verify machined parts dimensions utilizing accurate measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical tasks including handling weights up to 45 kg.
