Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize the safety of personnel and equipment during all daily operations.
- Promptly report safety risks, near misses, or incidents through proper internal channels.
- Approve vessel plans and organize housekeeping tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate and synchronize recap activities for berthed and planned vessels.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational plans every two hours involving vessel, yard, and gate operations.
- Facilitate loading and discharge operations according to requirements.
- Maximize productivity and utilization of Container Handling Equipment (CHE).
- Develop detailed 2-hour travel plans for RTG cranes, Electric Hooks, and Reach Stacker equipment.
- Analyze deviations and compile reports outlining operational variances.
- Maintain clear and effective communication among control room stakeholders.
- Ensure uninterrupted operational continuity and prepare detailed handovers.
Success Factors
- Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and proactive operational management to prevent and resolve issues.
- Possess comprehensive understanding of control room, quay, and yard execution processes and instructions, with a drive to maintain adherence and suggest optimizations.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in vessel and yard planning as well as housekeeping operations.
- Capable of working independently and maintaining effectiveness under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to meet operational demands.
- Maintain high energy levels for extended work hours and shifts, including emergency response readiness.
- Familiarity with control room roles, processes, and work instructions.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Navis Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in working languages.
- Analytical thinker with the capability to interpret data and recognize trends.
- Knowledge of lean management principles is advantageous.
- Personal traits include being structured, driven, self-motivated, results-focused, and collaborative team member.
- High awareness of quality and safety standards, working with consistent diligence.
- Appropriate academic qualifications supporting the role requirements.
