Position Overview
The role of Business Management Analyst within Wholesale Banking Lending involves supporting the Business Management team to ensure smooth operations of the Global Lending organisation. The analyst will transform data into actionable insights, oversee key management functions, and contribute to communications and initiatives that aid strategic decision-making and progress tracking.
About the Team and Organisation
Located in Dublin, this position offers extensive exposure to a global banking environment. ING Wholesale Banking is a leading global bank with a significant presence across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Asia Pacific, covering 35 markets. The Global Lending division specializes in lending, corporate finance, sustainable finance, and related services within ING's international network.
The analyst will join the Business Management team directly supporting Global Lending's leadership, including senior Business Managers, the Global Head of Lending, and executive assistants. The role bridges strategic planning and execution, contributing to business planning, governance, management reporting, communications, and the coordination of key initiatives. Collaboration extends across multiple departments such as Finance, HR, Communications, Risk, COO, and Transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, consolidate, and analyse data to assist senior leadership with informed decision-making.
- Prepare management reports, presentations, briefings, and updates for key stakeholders.
- Monitor key business performance metrics and track progress regarding priorities, actions, and decisions.
- Support the organisation and follow-up of management meetings, steering committee sessions, townhalls, and offsite events.
- Maintain governance documents, records, and team repositories to ensure an organised operational environment.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders within Wholesale Banking, including Finance, HR, Communications, Risk, COO, and Transformation teams.
- Draft internal communications, organisational announcements, and management updates related to the Lending division.
- Identify and implement improvements in workflows, documentation standards, and process efficiencies.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Strong analytical abilities with comfort handling data from diverse sources.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of producing clear, succinct materials for senior audiences.
- Highly organised with attention to detail, adept at tracking multiple actions, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Curiosity, resilience, and a proactive approach to navigating a dynamic, international work environment.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and engage confidently with stakeholders across levels and functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Copilot, to facilitate structured thinking and decision support.
