About ING Wholesale Banking Germany
ING Wholesale Banking Germany represents the corporate banking division of ING Germany. We go beyond traditional lending by advising corporate clients on sustainable and innovative financing initiatives, driven by a start-up mentality and a desire to stay ahead.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a specialist team managing structured lending portfolios covering areas such as Object Finance (Real Estate, Transportation), Project Finance (Energy, TMT, Mining, Acquisitions), and Structured Export Finance.
- Support the team in transaction execution, lending exposure management, and monitoring, gaining firsthand experience of the workflow.
- Participate in credit-related processes including drafting and approving credit modifications, updating ratings, conducting credit reviews and due diligence, and facilitating loan disbursements while understanding loan conditions and utilization requests.
- Contribute to the preparation of portfolio reports, dashboards, and presentations aimed at management analysis across sectors, products, and markets.
Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in business or economics with strong academic performance, or in the gap year between degrees.
- Prior internship experience within German financial institutions is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in structured finance or lending, with previous internships or experience in banking, consulting, or accounting.
- Skilled in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Analytical mindset, motivated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and strong communication skills.
- Proficient in written and spoken English; additional language skills are advantageous.
- Committed to contributing to future shaping in the financial world.
- Availability for a 4 to 6-month period; please specify exact timeframe including start date in application.
