About the Role
Our client, a rapidly expanding venture-backed tech company revolutionizing how consumer brands utilize data for improved decision-making, seeks a Brand Account Manager. This role involves owning and expanding key industry verticals, especially within Food & Beverage, while supporting opportunities across the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector. The position offers a chance to join an early-stage team, influence the company's growth trajectory, and contribute to business development from ground zero.
Location: SoHo, New York City (primarily onsite with flexibility for 1–2 remote days)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base salary plus commission
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and expand a designated industry vertical, initially concentrating on Food & Beverage, with additional support for broader CPG markets.
- Generate new business by prospecting, nurturing, and closing deals with enterprise clients within assigned sectors.
- Oversee the entire sales cycle starting from outbound outreach to negotiation and contract finalization.
- Develop strategic partnerships with senior executives across Marketing, Insights, Analytics, Innovation, and Executive Leadership.
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor and thought leader within your industry through effective relationship management and market knowledge.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Marketing teams to shape product roadmaps, create customer case studies, execute campaigns, and refine vertical strategies.
- Contribute to building scalable sales processes, playbooks, and best practices to support sustainable company growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated success in selling enterprise-level solutions and navigating complex B2B sales cycles.
- Strong network and well-established relationships within Food & Beverage, CPG, or Retail sectors.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset energized by creating new business in dynamic startup environments.
- Exceptional consultative sales skills with ability to engage executive stakeholders across various business functions.
- Genuine enthusiasm for consumer brands, emerging technologies, and comprehensive ownership of a business vertical from strategic planning to execution.
- Experience in startups or high-growth companies is highly favored, coupled with a collaborative, humble attitude and a commitment to building foundational business elements.
