About the Role
ASOS is a global fashion retailer dedicated to empowering individuals to express their true selves through style. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will join the Accounts Receivable team, reporting to the AP Manager – Projects and Transformation, collaborating closely within the Finance department to uphold and enhance business value through effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage third-party marketing revenues, other income streams, and oversee the Accounts Receivable function.
- Collaborate with Wholesale and other teams to gather all necessary information for timely invoice issuance.
- Conduct credit control and debt collection activities to minimize outstanding aged debts.
- Perform credit assessments for new customers and conduct periodic reviews of existing customer credit status.
- Support accurate month-end AR accounting, including journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and clearing account management.
- Generate precise, timely, and insightful reports such as weekly customer aging analyses.
- Partner with the broader AR team to compute and journal bad debt provisions during half-year and year-end periods.
- Understand business processes along with associated risks and internal controls.
- Assist with system testing during changes and upgrades.
- Lead improvements in AR processes by driving efficiency, automation, and strengthening financial controls.
- Utilize tools including Salesforce, Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Support and promote Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives within the workplace culture.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Experience in Accounts Receivable and Credit Control functions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical capabilities.
- High accuracy standards when handling financial and statistical data.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of business impacts.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and influencing abilities.
- Proactive attitude suited to a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
