Position Type: Permanent full-time on-site role with no option for remote work.

Vacancies: 1 opening available. Start date is immediate.

Salary: $37.70 per hour for 40 to 60 hours per week with shifts covering early mornings, mornings, days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Job Overview

Required language proficiency in English and completion of secondary (high) school education. Candidates should have between one and two years of driving experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver professional customer service at all times.
• Safely operate straight or articulated trucks to transport various goods and materials.
• Inspect vehicle condition regularly, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment; perform brake adjustments as necessary.
• Conduct emergency roadside repairs when required.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections before trips, en route, and after trips.
• Carry out preventive maintenance duties to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
• Receive and communicate information with central dispatch efficiently.
• Document and record cargo details, hours of service, distance covered, and fuel usage accurately.
• Secure cargo by tarping and ensuring safety protocols are followed, including transporting hazardous materials.

Required Credentials and Knowledge

• Hold valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a Class 1 or A Driver's License.
• Maintain proper documentation including accident and incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, pre-trip/en-route/post-trip inspection reports, and trip reports.
• Operate GPS and other navigation tools for route management.
• Comply with security and safety protocols such as ensuring valid driver's license and driving record checks.
