Special Process Operator

About the Role

The Special Process Operator is responsible for performing essential special process operations within the Gas Turbine Cell at the Jebel Ali Service Center. This role demands strong technical aptitude, strict adherence to safety and quality protocols, and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out special process operations such as heat treatment, blasting, shot peening, and coating as per approved procedures, technical standards, safety guidelines, and quality mandates.
• Ensure timely and precise completion of daily production tasks aligned with customer demands, operational priorities, and process discipline.
• Monitor and assess equipment performance, conduct basic troubleshooting, and collaborate with maintenance teams to enhance reliability, reduce downtime, and maintain machine availability.
• Adhere to technical process sheets, work instructions, and operating norms to guarantee consistent process outcomes and compliance.
• Contribute to operational efficiency and smooth production flow by coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams and fostering teamwork on the shop floor.
• Engage actively in continuous improvement efforts, including lean manufacturing initiatives targeted at productivity, quality enhancement, waste minimization, and operational excellence.
• Maintain orderly work areas, take ownership, and promote best practices throughout the shop floor environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in a relevant field from an accredited institution or a high school diploma paired with significant relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing operations.
• Certified competence in operating special processes such as heat treatment, blasting, and shot peening.
• Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing safety protocols, hazard identification, quality standards, and special process controls.
• Familiarity with industrial machinery operation and fundamental maintenance practices.
• Ability to interpret, understand, and comply with technical procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work productively in a diverse, team-oriented setting.
