Role Overview

We are seeking dedicated individuals to serve as School Crossing Guards in Odessa, Texas. This position involves ensuring the safety of children traveling to and from school by monitoring designated intersections during school commuting hours.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The role requires availability Monday through Friday during school days, specifically before and after school hours. The pay rate is $16.25 per hour with an added bonus system: working both shifts amounts to 2 hours daily with a reward of 1 extra paid hour, totaling $48.75 per day.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist pedestrians in crossing at specified intersections or crosswalks.
• Monitor and regulate traffic to maintain pedestrian safety.
• Stay vigilant and attentive at all times to safeguard students.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and school staff.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety protocols.
• Capable of standing for prolonged periods and working outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Possess strong observational and communication skills.
• Preference given to candidates residing within Odessa due to occasional short notice response needs.
