Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance, governance, and compliance efforts across several nursing home facilities. This role offers a unique chance for a dedicated healthcare expert to foster continuous enhancement, aid clinical leaders, and ensure outstanding, person-centred care delivery.
Primary Duties
- Direct quality assurance programs, governance, and continuous improvement strategies within multiple nursing homes.
- Provide support and mentorship to Persons in Charge (PICs) to ensure adherence to HIQA standards and regulatory mandates.
- Organize and perform quality audits to pinpoint improvement opportunities and execute corrective measures.
- Develop, assess, and apply policies and procedures aligned with national benchmarks and best practices.
- Oversee incident reporting, complaint management, safeguarding, and risk control systems to detect trends and enhance standards.
- Conduct training sessions, coaching, and offer guidance to management on maintaining quality, governance, and compliance.
- Compile detailed quality and compliance reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with senior management to improve service quality, safety, and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration.
- Postgraduate degree in Healthcare Management, Quality Improvement, Clinical Governance, or a related field (mandatory).
- Additional certification in Auditing or Risk Management is preferable.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in quality, governance, or compliance roles within healthcare.
- Deep familiarity with HIQA standards, healthcare regulatory requirements, and principles of person-centred care.
- Documented success in audit leadership, risk management, and regulatory compliance support.
- Strong skills in data analysis, report composition, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in training, mentoring, and supporting multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Possession of a full, clean Irish driving license and readiness to travel between facilities.
