Job Overview
The role involves overseeing the Fraud Management (FM) policy and control framework to continuously identify, prevent, and reduce fraudulent activities affecting various products, services, subscribers, and partners within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enforcement of an enterprise-wide Fraud Management policy framework to ensure operational capabilities are in place for detecting and combating fraud throughout the company.
- Manage components of the FM control framework, including monitoring rules and defining roles and responsibilities.
- Stay informed about new commercial offerings and advancements in technology to spot possible fraud risks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with different departments to communicate fraud risks and cases effectively and provide actionable recommendations.
- Prepare and present dashboards and reports that highlight progress and expectations related to fraud management to leadership.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, trends, and best practices through professional networks.
- Lead sponsorship and oversight of FM systems and tool projects, including those leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests, report generation, and special projects from various stakeholders.
- Champion the enhancement of efficiency and maturity in FM controls, personnel, and processes.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with external entities such as the Telecom Regulator and law enforcement agencies.
- Identify areas for optimization within the company that could improve revenue or reduce costs and provide viable recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Data Analytics or Computer Science.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Preferred experience includes over 10 years in fraud management or leading fraud management teams.
