Job Overview
The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in understanding and fulfilling our customers' transportation requirements. This position involves receiving, scheduling, and booking transportation orders to ensure efficient and timely freight and information movement. Success requires strong customer focus, creative problem solving, and excellent interpersonal skills for delivering superior customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, manage, and process all necessary documentation such as house and master air waybills, commercial, and customs/regulatory documents.
- Accurately and promptly update shipment details within our operational systems.
- Dispatch freight efficiently to prevent any disruptions within the customer’s supply chain.
- Communicate proactively and clearly with customers, vendors, and internal teams via email, phone, messaging, and face-to-face interaction.
- Review performance reports regularly to identify personal impact and growth opportunities.
- Execute invoicing accurately in accordance with customer-specific SOPs, rate shells, and tariffs.
- Support strong vendor relationships with airlines, trucking companies, and other partners.
- Adhere consistently to all compliance requirements including company policies, governmental regulations, and customer expectations.
- Aim to meet and exceed key performance indicators that align with departmental and company goals.
- Continuously seek to understand overall process flows and identify ways to improve operational efficiency.
- Escalate issues or make decisions according to established management guidelines when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Outstanding customer service aptitude characterized by friendliness, empathy, and helpfulness.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, including listening, comprehension, and clear, concise expression for achieving positive outcomes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Motivation to learn and broaden knowledge continuously.
- A sense of urgency relating to all facets of customer service.
- Emotional resilience and ability to perform under pressure.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively and productively with colleagues.
- Proficiency with computers, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Minimum of one year experience in customer service roles.
