Role Overview
The Lead People Business Partner at HealthVerity acts as a reliable advisor and collaborative partner to organizational leaders, blending strategic insight with a supportive approach to nurture high-performing teams where employees can flourish. This role requires engaging both strategically and operationally, developing people strategies while remaining attuned to daily leadership needs. This position is pivotal during the integration of Symphony Health, aiding staff in acclimating, connecting, and building the skills essential for shared long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leaders to develop personnel strategies that promote team well-being, effectiveness, and advancement, anticipating future business needs.
- Serve as a coach and adviser to managers and executives to manage complexity, lead change effectively, and foster professional growth.
- Oversee performance and development processes with diligence, facilitating evaluations, supporting feedback, and assisting in forming impactful growth plans for team members.
- Work jointly with Talent Acquisition to guide hiring practices within designated groups, defining quality standards and aiding leadership decision-making.
- Interpret and utilize workforce data to highlight patterns, assess risks, and enable better team insights and management choices.
- Support the integration of Symphony Health employees by promoting cultural alignment and community building.
- Address employee relation issues empathetically and judiciously to ensure fair and consistent resolutions.
- Provide accessible guidance on HR policies, leaves, accommodations, and the People Playbook to empower leaders with clear information.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide HR excellence initiatives including Total Rewards and People Operations to develop scalable systems and uniform practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years’ experience as an HR Business Partner or generalist within rapidly growing technology or data-driven companies.
- Proven capability to operate strategically while handling hands-on leadership coaching and talent management tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate trust and influence decision-makers in challenging situations.
- Prior involvement in post-acquisition integration with a focus on helping diverse groups adapt and collaborate.
- In-depth knowledge of employment legislation, compliance, leave guidelines, and the ability to communicate these clearly.
- Experienced in managing calibration sessions, succession planning, or leadership development programs that yield measurable business benefits.
- Proficiency in using HR analytics to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
- Experienced and compassionate in managing employee relations with consistency and sound judgment.
- Outstanding communication skills with the confidence to conduct sincere and thoughtful dialogues on sensitive topics.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity partnering with commercial, go-to-market, product, or technical teams to understand their priorities and challenges.
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and high-achieving work environments with proactive efforts.
Compensation and Locations
The base salary is competitive with a range from $160000 to $200000 annually plus eligibility for an annual bonus. The primary workspace is in Philadelphia, PA with a hybrid model requiring three days onsite weekly for local hires. Remote roles are also supported in specified hubs and states with a focus on collaboration through periodic in-person meetings.
