Role Overview
DHL Express is seeking a credit control professional to manage collections, keep customer accounts within approved limits, and support timely recovery of outstanding payments in Phnom Penh.
Accountabilities
- Promote DHL trading terms and conditions and make sure customers follow them.
- Track account credit limits and take the appropriate follow-up action when needed.
- Improve collection performance by recovering dues from customers promptly and professionally.
- Apply knowledge and experience to help resolve repeated billing concerns.
- Lead debt recovery efforts and participate in customer discussions, including visits when required.
- Work with relevant teams to settle sales and customs disputes through the proper escalation path.
- Keep daily records of payments collected and prepare routine reports.
- Contact corporate customers regarding overdue balances and payment follow-up.
- Review credit accounts and flag delinquent customers to the Team Leader for assessment and action.
- Influence decisions and actions through coordination and communication, even without direct reports or formal authority over country or functional teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of related experience in credit control or accounting, with exposure to customer-facing work.
- Diploma in accounting.
- Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Local language ability, where relevant.
