Job Overview
A prominent organization is looking for a knowledgeable HSE Supervisor to oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental operations on a comprehensive facilities management contract. This role demands managing compliance, devising safety strategies, conducting audits and investigations, and ensuring alignment with local laws and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute the project's HSE Management System.
- Maintain adherence to company, client, and statutory HSE regulations.
- Lead hazard identification and risk assessment initiatives.
- Investigate incidents and enforce corrective measures.
- Manage plans for emergency preparedness and responses.
- Ensure contractors comply with HSE standards.
- Conduct both internal and external HSE audits.
- Track key performance indicators and produce monthly HSE reports.
- Organize HSE training sessions and awareness programs.
- Engage with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities.
- Foster a pervasive safety culture throughout the project.
Minimum Qualifications
- Holder of a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.
- Possession of NEBOSH International General Certificate (mandatory).
- Certified as ISO 45001 Internal or Lead Auditor.
- Certified as ISO 14001 Internal or Lead Auditor.
- Formal training in risk assessment, incident investigation, emergency response, fire safety, and permit to work systems.
Experience
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in health, safety, and environment.
- Minimum 3 years serving in a supervisory or managerial HSE role.
- Experience desired in facilities management, industrial operations, logistics, warehousing, food storage, port operations, or other high-risk operational sectors.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency with Integrated Management Systems (IMS).
- Strong legal and regulatory compliance knowledge.
- Capability in managing contractor HSE activities.
- Expertise in risk assessment and incident investigation procedures.
