Compliance Manager

Role Overview

Crypto.com is in search of a Compliance Manager to support the operations of our U.S. exchange. This position demands a hands-on, high-responsibility individual adept at working independently in a fast-paced setting. The role involves collaborating closely with our compliance team to handle various tasks, including maintaining the BSA/AML program, assisting in audit processes, managing consumer compliance, updating policies, and addressing regulatory remediations. The candidate is expected to bring clarity, good judgment, and proactive engagement to all activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Crypto.com Compliance Program covering Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering regulations, including policy creation, procedure upkeep, and continuous monitoring.
• Support AML compliance audits and reviews, liaising with internal teams to resolve identified issues.
• Lead development and oversight of regulatory remediation projects, managing scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants to progress remediation efforts and update stakeholders regularly.
• Prepare presentations and documentation for working groups, committees, project tracking, and executive briefings.
• Manage clear and prompt customer communications during Request For Information procedures.
• Conduct due diligence and perform occasional compliance assessments as required.
• Support obligations related to consumer compliance including Regulation E, chargebacks, prepaid and credit card compliance, and UDAAP.
• Oversee and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect regulatory updates and business changes.
• Identify and recommend process improvements within the compliance function.
• Execute special projects as assigned.
• Engage with regulatory agencies and assist in fostering regulatory relationships as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 3 years’ experience in compliance within financial services, fintech, or banking sectors.
• Solid understanding of BSA/AML regulations and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with consumer compliance regulations, especially Reg E and UDAAP.
• Proven capability in supporting regulatory audit processes and remediation project management.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively in dynamic conditions.
• Skilled in developing materials for regulatory submissions, committees, or working groups.
• Comfortable managing work with minimal direction and ambiguity.
• Experience in fintech or cryptocurrency industries is advantageous.
• Consumer compliance experience focusing on prepaid and credit card regulations is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with regulator examinations and banking compliance oversight is a plus.
