Job Overview

This position involves hearing and making judicial decisions on cases related to workers' compensation under the Labor Code and California Code of Regulations. The role operates under general supervision from the Supervising Administrative Law Judge within the Division of Workers' Compensation. Work Environment and Location

Work is conducted at 1800 30th Street, Suite 100, Bakersfield, CA 93301-1929, within climate-controlled office areas featuring natural and artificial lighting. Tasks are performed in private offices or courtrooms, requiring extensive computer use for drafting documents, research, and correspondence.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Applicants must be members of the State Bar of California and comply with the California Code of Judicial Ethics.
• Candidates must be reachable via an existing employment list, possess transfer or reinstatement eligibility, or be eligible through other recognized pathways, including SROA and Surplus, who receive priority.
