Unix SQL Autosys Production Support Engineer

Role Overview and Responsibilities

This role demands strong expertise in Unix and Oracle within a production support context. Candidates will provide application support during code deployments and address related issues. The position involves detailed troubleshooting of incidents, conducting root-cause analysis, and creating management-level executive summaries. Interaction with product vendors and technical specialists to resolve technical challenges is essential. Responsibilities also include applying software fixes, patches, and service packs to maintain application stability via preventive maintenance and monitoring.

Expertise in Autosys scheduling and familiarity with monitoring tools such as ITRS are advantageous. The candidate should exhibit a readiness to acquire new technologies and contribute to automation development. Handling troubleshooting activities related to job execution errors, user access, and application configuration support is critical. A good grasp of Oracle database management, including backups, restores, and performance tuning, is required. Additionally, experience in creating and managing Autosys JILs, along with managing scheduled batch processes, is needed.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Prior knowledge of the banking domain is considered an asset for this position.
