Team Leader - Warehousing

Job Overview

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing daily operations within the warehouse environment. This includes supervising tasks such as receiving, storing, and dispatching products. Your leadership will help ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures while fostering a high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehousing activities encompassing receipt, storage, and shipment of goods.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members to maintain high operational standards and safety adherence.
• Monitor and oversee inventory levels, collaborating with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure adequate stock replenishment.
• Conduct ongoing training programs focused on warehouse processes, safety measures, and proper use of equipment.
• Use the LFS Warehouse Management System (WMS) to monitor inventory and manage order fulfillment efficiently.
• Operate RF scanners and train team members in their proper usage for accurate inventory tracking and order picking.
• Implement stringent inventory controls to maintain accuracy and reduce discrepancies, including daily reconciliation of inbound and outbound stock records.
• Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for operational improvement and implement appropriate strategies.
• Coordinate across departments to guarantee timely and precise processing and delivery of orders.
• Ensure warehouse cleanliness and a safe working environment, complying with all safety regulations.
• Support the creation and enforcement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehousing activities.
• Oversee the maintenance and functionality of warehouse equipment.
• Conduct regular employee appraisals and deliver constructive feedback to support team growth.
• Address and resolve any employee conflicts or issues promptly and professionally.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on warehouse performance, inventory status, and operational challenges for management review.
