Team Leader

Role Overview

As a vital member of the management team at Dollarama in St. Catharines, Ontario, the Team Leader assists both the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the retail store.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide leadership to store associates, offering necessary guidance and support.
• Manage store merchandising activities including shelf stocking and unpacking shipments.
• Ensure all customer service standards are achieved to guarantee a positive shopping experience.
• Carry out manager-on-duty responsibilities such as managing breaks, attendance, and timekeeping.
• Implement and uphold visual merchandising guidelines throughout the store.
• Handle customer complaints efficiently and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain store safety protocols and cleanliness standards.
• Execute cash management duties along with opening and closing procedures when required.
• Participate in inventory management and provide training to employees as needed.
• Follow up on allocated tasks and contribute actively to recruitment and performance evaluation processes.

Candidate Requirements

• At least one year of experience in retail.
• Between one to two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated ambition for career advancement within the organization.
• Availability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong aptitude for leadership and effective communication.
• Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
