This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and is based in Singapore, requiring onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that enhance cost-efficiency, supplier quality, and product reliability to support business needs.
- Collaborate with the Sales team during competitive bidding processes by engaging suppliers, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and aiding in supplier selection to strengthen business proposals.
- Maintain oversight of ongoing bids and supplier activity to monitor participation levels, enabling strategic negotiations and securing the best offers.
- Ensure supplier proposals meet project and contractual requirements, including aspects of content, quality, delivery schedules, sustainability, and pricing to guarantee project success.
- Manage the transition from sales to project execution from a supply chain perspective and participate in or lead supplier kickoff meetings to align with project goals.
- Develop and manage the local supplier base ensuring engagement of only qualified suppliers during bidding phases, and proactively qualify new suppliers as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related disciplines.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, bid management, operations, or commercial project roles.
- Experience within maritime or industrial sectors is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multinational environments, adapting to diverse cultures and business practices.
- Strong skills in negotiation and contract management.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, organized, and communicative professional with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
