Role Overview

This position provides an exciting chance to relocate to Poland, Spain, or the UAE with full support from Revolut throughout the relocation process. Once relocated, there is flexibility to work fully remotely or in a hybrid setting at offices located in Krakow, Barcelona, Madrid, or Dubai.

Team and Technology

The Technology team at Revolut develops and maintains the systems powering their innovative financial tools used by millions globally. They prioritize clean, maintainable backend code delivered rapidly using methodologies such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and continuous integration and delivery.

The technology stack includes Java versions 17 and 21, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, NewRelic, PostgreSQL, Redis, Spock testing framework, jOOQ, and Flyway.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain mobile APIs.
• Develop microservices to evolve the system architecture.
• Enhance crucial business systems like risk management, fraud detection, and payment processing.
• Engage in greenfield development initiatives and refine existing applications.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• At least six years of experience in backend software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related discipline.
• Ability to quickly absorb new information coupled with an ambitious, results-oriented mindset.
• Effective collaboration skills in fast-moving team-oriented environments.
• Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.
• Fluent in English.

Desirable Extras

• Knowledge of Kotlin or Scala programming languages.
• Experience within financial services or fintech sectors.
• Background working in startups or rapidly scaling organizations.
• Participation in product-driven development teams.
