Role Overview

We seek Shift Maintenance Technicians to support a premier medical device client in County Westmeath. The role offers engaging shift patterns designed to uphold a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance support to production equipment within a medical device and healthcare setting.
  • Troubleshoot and repair failures in automated electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Execute scheduled preventative maintenance activities using PEMAC systems.
  • Keep precise and current maintenance records.
  • Work proactively to help achieve production performance goals.
  • Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Assist Engineering projects and lead maintenance-related action items.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Authority and Safety

  • Empowered to halt operations if unsafe practices endanger health, environment, equipment, or personnel.
  • Commit to performing duties compliant with Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certification, Diploma, or Senior Trades qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Three to five years of relevant technical experience, preferably in the medical device or comparable industry.
  • Mechanical expertise within automated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong capabilities in troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical thinking.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, motor drives, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as an engaged team member.
  • Flexibility to work various shift schedules.
