Role Overview
We seek Shift Maintenance Technicians to support a premier medical device client in County Westmeath. The role offers engaging shift patterns designed to uphold a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance support to production equipment within a medical device and healthcare setting.
- Troubleshoot and repair failures in automated electro-mechanical equipment.
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance activities using PEMAC systems.
- Keep precise and current maintenance records.
- Work proactively to help achieve production performance goals.
- Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
- Assist Engineering projects and lead maintenance-related action items.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Authority and Safety
- Empowered to halt operations if unsafe practices endanger health, environment, equipment, or personnel.
- Commit to performing duties compliant with Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certification, Diploma, or Senior Trades qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Three to five years of relevant technical experience, preferably in the medical device or comparable industry.
- Mechanical expertise within automated manufacturing environments.
- Strong capabilities in troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical thinking.
- Familiarity with PLCs, motor drives, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as an engaged team member.
- Flexibility to work various shift schedules.
