Security Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a Security Supervisor based in Southampton, SO15 0LG, to lead our on-site security operations. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of A315.60 for 42 hours per week following a 4 on, 4 off day and night shift pattern. Key Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to security officers, ensuring training requirements and compliance standards are upheld.
• Organize staff rosters and ensure adequate site coverage at all times.
• Monitor security team performance and offer coaching and assistance where necessary.
• Manage incident reporting, conduct investigations, and maintain accurate site documentation.
• Serve as the primary contact for operational concerns and on-site security incidents.
• Assist the Security Management Team in achieving service excellence and implementing best practices.
• Oversee the proper functioning of security systems including CCTV and access controls.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, coworkers, and relevant stakeholders.
• Lead by demonstrating Securitas' core values: Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety rules, company policies, and site-specific procedures.

Candidate Profile

• Holder of a valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence.
• At least 5 years' experience within the security industry, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Security Clearance (SC) status or willingness to obtain it.
• Must be a UK national with residency in the UK for the past 5 years and the right to work in the UK verified through a 5-year checkable history.
• Availability to work flexible shifts covering days, nights, and weekends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
