Overview
Join as the Manager for Technical Solutions Engineering in Data & AI, leading and expanding a regional expert team in India to ensure seamless operation and resiliency of customer production workloads within the APJ and EMEA time zones. This pivotal role involves coordination with global teams for 24x7 support and resolving complex data engineering challenges to help customers stabilize and optimize their systems using Databricks products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead an elite team of Data & AI specialists providing customer coverage across EMEA and APJ business hours.
- Enhance the team's technical capabilities to facilitate the adoption of new Databricks platform features for production workloads.
- Collaborate with top-tier customers to align Data & AI solutions with their business goals alongside field engineering and sales teams.
- Work closely with internal product engineering units to improve Databricks products and their supportability.
- Ensure high reliability and stability of the Databricks platform to meet customers' operational objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven management experience in people leadership roles.
- Over 12 years in the IT sector, primarily in Software Engineering focused on Data Engineering, Big Data, and Cloud technologies.
- Leadership experience in engineering, technical support, or consulting; strong customer-facing interaction preferred.
- Hands-on experience at production scale in two or more areas such as Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), Machine Learning/AI projects, Data Science, or Streaming applications.
- Expertise in Apache Spark is a significant advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for distributed systems.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to adapt in dynamic, startup-like environments.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical fields.
