Role Overview
Vertex is seeking a dedicated Land Analyst to join the team in a full-time, permanent capacity based in either Calgary or Sherwood Park, Alberta. This role focuses on the administration, maintenance, and processing of documentation related to surface land matters under the guidance of the Supervisor – Land Administration. The ideal candidate will uphold professionalism, demonstrate strong work ethics, and actively contribute to Vertex’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain surface land files for both crown and freehold properties.
- Analyze survey plans and prepare necessary third-party documentation.
- Produce general and project-specific reports to update clients.
- Gather and compile relevant data and information as required.
- Format and prepare reports for client distribution.
- Type and proofread various correspondence, forms, and documents.
- Manage photocopying and collating of documents for distribution, mailing, and filing purposes.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications and Skills
- Possess 1 to 5 years of experience in land administration.
- Post-secondary education in Land Administration is preferred.
- Strong eagerness to learn, motivated by ethics, and result-oriented.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, as well as OneStop, Electronic Transfer System, SPIN, Pandell, and Abadata software.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
