Role Overview

We are supporting a project for a Hamburg-based partner and are seeking a Junior Research Analyst for a full-time, permanent, remote position. The role involves assisting senior consultants by gathering information, mapping current processes, and ensuring clear and accurate documentation. This entry-level position offers exposure to business consulting practices without corporate jargon.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior consultants by collecting and organizing data from various client departments to pinpoint system deficiencies.
• Document existing business and technical workflows to clarify data flow within the organization.
• Conduct fundamental data validation to confirm report accuracy against source data.
• Help develop configuration manuals and training materials to empower client teams in system management.
• Research industry standards for reporting and performance management to inform recommendations.
• Participate in team meetings to report progress and discuss challenges encountered during data collection.
• Maintain the project documentation repository with proper file labeling and updates.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Basic knowledge of financial concepts and general business reporting.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets for organizing data, including functions like sorting, filtering, and standard formulas.
• Clear and straightforward communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Careful and systematic approach to detecting errors or inconsistencies.
• Recent graduate or completion of a program in business, finance, computer science, or related fields.
• Willingness to seek clarification rather than make assumptions when tasks are unclear.
