Role Overview

As a Junior Design Engineer (Civil), you will be based full-time at the Bhubaneswar office. Your primary duties will include assisting in the preparation of architectural and structural drawings, generating floor plans, and developing 2D/3D civil design models that align with project specifications and local regulatory standards. You will support senior engineers in performing design calculations, creating detailed CAD layouts, collaborating with on-site construction teams, and contributing to the optimization of designs to maximize cost-efficiency and structural integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of architectural and structural drawings and floor plans.
• Create 2D and 3D civil design models adhering to project and regulatory requirements.
• Support senior engineers in conducting design calculations and analysis.
• Prepare and update CAD layouts for various project stages.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure design compliance during implementation.
• Review site measurements and incorporate data into updated design documentation.
• Contribute to project cost estimation and maintain clear, organized records supporting transparent management.
• Collaborate effectively with consultants, contractors, and project managers to guarantee accurate translation of designs into construction works.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related accredited discipline.
• Strong foundation in civil design engineering principles and structural behavior understanding.
• Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent civil/structural design tools.
• Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering as applicable to building system components detailing.
• Familiarity with Electrical Engineering concepts to align civil designs with electrical layouts within projects.
• Skills in product design or similar capabilities for creating practical, constructible design solutions.
• Working knowledge of Indian building codes, relevant standards, and safety regulations.
• Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings, specifications, and survey data.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary site collaboration.
