Overview
The Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Construction Supervisor will be part of the Construction Team responsible for ensuring timely and proper execution of the electrical and instrumentation scope of work. This role requires maintaining high standards in safety, quality, compliance, and scheduling, following the detailed design, control estimates, contracts, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Construction Manager to conduct constructability reviews and interactive planning with clients and the design team.
- Ensure that the construction phase is staffed with qualified, capable personnel and equipped with the necessary resources including tools, plant, and temporary facilities.
- Guide Field Supervisors by enforcing top-tier site execution standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Adhere closely to company construction methods, safety protocols, quality assurance processes, personnel management, and industrial relations practices, reporting any deficiencies promptly along with proposed solutions.
- Ensure all statutory and legal requirements are fully observed on site.
- Understand and apply Health and Safety at Work legislation pertinent to employee responsibilities.
- Stay updated on construction industry advancements and assist in enhancing company capabilities.
- Oversee construction according to drawings, specifications, standards, good practices, schedules, and budgetary constraints.
- Lead and manage the assigned staff and their activities effectively.
- Conduct assessments and appraisals of contractor work, reporting findings according to company procedures.
- Promote use of best available technology and encourage innovative ideas.
- Document and share project lessons learned.
- Review contractor progress reports and contribute to weekly reports presented to the client by the Construction Manager.
- Participate in daily whiteboard and contractor progress meetings.
- Manage construction activities from pre-construction through to system turnover.
- Ensure compliance with quality plan criteria.
