About the Role
Join Heartland Bank's Collections Team in Auckland as a Credit Consultant. While experience in collections is beneficial, we value energetic, empathetic individuals who excel in communication, customer service, negotiation, and problem-solving. Whether you're starting or reigniting your career in financial services or collections, and regardless of tertiary education, this opportunity could be ideal.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming calls within the Collections queue, addressing queries from simple balance checks to complex cases.
- Conduct outbound manual and dialler campaign calls to discuss overdue accounts and develop repayment plans.
- Engage with customers holding overdue accounts to arrange solutions for clearing arrears.
- Enter and track repayment arrangements within Heartland Bank's Collections systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve customers’ needs.
- Encourage and assist customers in adopting Heartland's digital solutions for their financial journey.
Requirements
- Experience in debt collection or credit control roles.
- Understanding of debt collection methodologies.
- Knowledge of the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act (CCCFA) legislation.
