Overview
Seeking a dedicated Learning and Development Specialist based in the DMV area with an onsite presence required once a month at facilities in Canton or Columbia, MD. This role spans a one-year contract with the possibility for extension, responsible for delivering compelling training programs that empower employees with essential skills aligned with evolving organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct both virtual instructor-led and traditional classroom training sessions applying adult learning principles to foster behavioral change and enhance workforce capability.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through post-session assessments and business trend analysis to continuously update and improve course content and delivery methods.
- Collaborate on creating and maintaining instructional materials to ensure they remain accurate and relevant.
- Work closely with training coordinators to efficiently manage course scheduling and logistical arrangements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred; alternatively, 6 years of relevant professional experience including at least 2 years in training delivery or facilitation of adult learners.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional delivery techniques.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office suite; capability to troubleshoot technology issues and use video editing tools.
- Excellent communication skills enabling clear information sharing with diverse groups.
- Effective organizational and research skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
