Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere that meets the physical, social, emotional, developmental, and behavioral needs of young children, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Welcome children and families daily, establishing professional and warm relationships.
• Assist in recognizing and responding to each child's individual developmental and behavioral needs, including adherence to IEPs and behavioral plans as assigned.
• Support the Lead Teacher in planning and executing developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Maintain professional communication with families, colleagues, and leadership through approved tools and channels.
• Follow established safety, supervision, and reporting procedures, documenting any incidents in line with Cadence policies.
• Help manage, document, and address child behaviors according to program policies and classroom standards.
• Comply with all employee handbook policies, participate in mandatory meetings, trainings, and professional development—even if these occur outside normal working hours.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven ability to consistently implement safety protocols, including Name-to-Face accountability, food allergy management, bottle-feeding procedures, and Safe Sleep standards.
• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively within a classroom team.
• Effective English communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred, but not mandatory if licensing requirements are met.
• Experience in early childhood or group care settings is preferred.
• Must fulfill all state licensing requirements for teachers in licensed childcare centers and be able to obtain necessary background checks and health clearances.
• CDA credential preferred but not compulsory if licensing standards are satisfied.

Schedule and Work Conditions

• Flexibility is critical; schedules may vary based on enrollment, staffing, or operational necessities.
• Work hours are not guaranteed to be standard eight-hour shifts; start and end times may fluctuate daily.
