Job Overview
The Supply Chain Planner plays a crucial role in maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet demand at the Liberty, distribution center, and SKU levels. Responsibilities encompass purchasing finished goods, supporting sales for other bottlers, managing branch replenishment, and overseeing production sequencing within manufacturing centers. The role demands a focus on safety and compliance with all company, legal, and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal inventory of finished goods across designated locations using BY Planning Modules to achieve stock availability targets.
- Develop replenishment loads including purchased or demand replenishment planning (DRP) that minimize logistics expenses.
- Collaborate with demand planning, distribution centers, and operations teams to support launches of new products, promotional packaging, and seasonal inventory management.
- Review inventory and warehouse capacity regularly; initiate and coordinate product movements to avoid stockouts, product expiration, and overstock issues, maintaining days of supply as per objectives.
- Monitor close-dated inventory and work to decrease breakage, damage, and loss attributable to product aging.
- Create and sequence production schedules for upcoming weeks, maintaining constant coordination with assigned plants to ensure schedule adherence.
- Participate in weekly business unit conference calls to share critical product information.
- Manage vendor brand lead times to maintain balanced inventory levels.
- Update daily SAP production orders and schedules for assigned plants.
- Maintain and manage production sequencing (PP) and material requirement planning (MRP) profiles to fully utilize BY Production and Capacity Modules.
- Use SAP/ECC/BY sequencing tools to assess system-generated production requirements for feasibility.
- Optimize flavor and package sequencing to boost efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Analyze line capacity and coordinate solutions if alternative sourcing is needed due to capacity constraints.
- Lead weekly production scheduling meetings with respective production centers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in production planning, industrial engineering, or an analytical role.
- Strong analytical capabilities including understanding of advanced mathematical concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experienced with ERP systems such as SAP and BY modules.
- Capable of problem identification, data collection, factual analysis, and drawing sound conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
