About the Role
This position is for a Staff Nurse in a 30-bed Adult Surgical Ward specializing in Plastic Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Ear, Nose & Throat, and Ophthalmology. The nursing professional will work alongside senior nursing staff to ensure high-quality and safe care for all patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care from admission through discharge by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
- Keep detailed and accurate documentation of patient care and communicate updates effectively with the nursing team, multidisciplinary staff, patients, and their families.
- Maintain calm and effective responses in emergency situations while prioritizing patient safety and supporting patients, families, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and carers to identify patient needs and organize workload efficiently.
- Apply problem-solving skills to execute individualized, person-centered care plans effectively.
- Deliver sensitive and complex information clearly to patients, carers, and staff, overcoming communication barriers and offering support during distressing situations.
