Role overview
ForumPay is hiring a Senior Accountant to become part of its finance team in Ljubljana. The company is an international fintech business building blockchain-based payments infrastructure for organizations across the globe, with a range of interoperable “fourth rail” solutions for both businesses and end users.
Key responsibilities
- Record journal entries and post month-end accruals across several entities in the group, including companies based on different continents.
- Perform account reconciliations and analyze all general ledger balances.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities during month-end closing.
- Handle crypto-related bookkeeping and reconciliations, including recognizing digital assets on the balance sheet.
- Process daily client payouts through multiple bank accounts.
- Manage cash disbursements for multiple group entities and prepare monthly bank reconciliations and weekly cash reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements.
- Contribute to the month-end close process and help deliver accurate monthly and consolidated financial statements within deadlines.
- Support year-end closing activities.
Experience and technical requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance processes, including closing and reporting.
- Good working knowledge of IFRS or GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas.
- Experience with accounting software; Odoo is preferred, though other systems are also valuable.
- Background in international accounting environments is an advantage.
- Previous exposure to crypto accounting and digital currencies.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to work independently with limited information.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to step in and support where needed.
