Senior Accountant

Role overview

ForumPay is hiring a Senior Accountant to become part of its finance team in Ljubljana. The company is an international fintech business building blockchain-based payments infrastructure for organizations across the globe, with a range of interoperable “fourth rail” solutions for both businesses and end users.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries and post month-end accruals across several entities in the group, including companies based on different continents.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze all general ledger balances.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities during month-end closing.
• Handle crypto-related bookkeeping and reconciliations, including recognizing digital assets on the balance sheet.
• Process daily client payouts through multiple bank accounts.
• Manage cash disbursements for multiple group entities and prepare monthly bank reconciliations and weekly cash reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements.
• Contribute to the month-end close process and help deliver accurate monthly and consolidated financial statements within deadlines.
• Support year-end closing activities.

Experience and technical requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting and finance processes, including closing and reporting.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS or GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas.
• Experience with accounting software; Odoo is preferred, though other systems are also valuable.
• Background in international accounting environments is an advantage.
• Previous exposure to crypto accounting and digital currencies.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to work independently with limited information.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to step in and support where needed.
