The group operates several venues including Al Safadi Restaurants, Oventine, and Table 25, with plans to expand further in Dubai and Abu Dhabi through new hospitality ventures and retail brands.
Role Overview
We seek a reliable and experienced Restaurant Captain to oversee our service floor. This role involves leading and supporting the waitstaff to ensure guests receive impeccable service that reflects our dedication to authentic Lebanese hospitality. The position demands strong leadership abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and maintaining a calm, customer-focused approach in a fast-paced, busy environment.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Supervise and mentor the waitstaff, ensuring consistent and high-quality service standards.
- Manage guest interactions professionally, addressing feedback, special requests, and resolving service issues effectively.
- Ensure proper table settings, maintain seamless service flow, manage section coverage, and verify order accuracy.
- Coordinate smoothly between front-of-house teams and kitchen/bar staff to facilitate timely services.
- Support management by assisting with shift reporting, scheduling staff, and overseeing daily floor operations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience as a captain or team leader within restaurants, hotels, or hospitality groups.
- Completed high school education or equivalent; hospitality management education is advantageous.
- Proven skills in team leadership, including supervising, training, and guiding waitstaff.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving skills, the ability to remain composed under pressure, and a collaborative, positive attitude.
