The Role

This temporary position supports the People & Culture team during a planned absence. Reporting to the Senior Director of People and Culture, your responsibilities include overseeing daily recruiting coordination and operational tasks throughout the entire candidate hiring cycle. You ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience, maintain recruiting workflow efficiency, and collaborate closely with hiring managers and the broader team. Ideal candidates have hands-on recruiting coordination expertise, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to purposeful work, managing 5-7 requisitions simultaneously and supporting internal team efforts while delivering excellent external candidate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle interview scheduling for all open roles, coordinating between candidates and hiring teams
  • Keep accurate and current candidate data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), maintaining requisitions, stages, and statuses
  • Create, post, and manage job advertisements across job boards and internal channels, ensuring consistent and precise messaging
  • Serve as main candidate contact, providing timely, warm, and professional communication aligned with company brand and values
  • Assist with offer letter preparation and pre-employment procedures, including background checks and new hire documentation, collaborating with HR operations
  • Track recruitment metrics and maintain dashboards on pipeline activity and hiring progress
  • Document and update standard operating procedures for recruiting workflows to ensure continuity and consistency
  • Champion an empathetic and transparent candidate journey at every interaction
  • Partner with hiring managers to provide scheduling, logistics, and process support for active searches
  • Organize interview panels, prepare materials and agendas, manage virtual interview setup, and troubleshoot any issues
  • Support People & Culture projects and administrative tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with recruiting laws and company policies

Qualifications & Skills

  • 2-4 years' experience in recruiting coordination or recruiting specialist roles
  • Proven ability to manage 5-7 open requisitions concurrently, including coordination and candidate engagement
  • 2-3 years' experience with ATS and AI tools (Lever or Greenhouse preferred)
  • Background in talent roles within Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, or Beauty industries, ideally purpose-driven brands
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience in talent and culture
  • Strong problem-solving skills using data, judgment, and experience
  • Successful track record of consulting and supporting hiring managers compassionately
  • Commitment to protecting and enhancing candidate experience aligned with company values
  • Experience thoughtfully and ethically leveraging Artificial Intelligence solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Slack, and professional communication platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable collaborating with diverse individuals and teams remotely
  • Experience in fully remote workplaces is highly preferred
