Job Overview
Sofomation is seeking an experienced Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join a leading client's prestigious Oil & Gas project in Qatar. The ideal candidate will specialize in subsea pipeline integrity and inspection.
Responsibilities and Expertise
- Manage and ensure integrity of subsea pipelines.
- Conduct comprehensive pipeline risk assessments.
- Perform Fitness-for-Service (FFS) evaluations.
- Develop and maintain pipeline integrity management systems.
- Oversee pipeline inspection programs.
- Administer cathodic protection measures.
- Apply Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques and failure analysis.
- Support offshore operations including ROV, diving, pigging, and offshore support vessels.
- Utilize GIS and Pipeline Integrity Management Systems (PIMS) as preferred tools.
- Coordinate with pipeline operators on subsea pipeline Environmental Protection and Remediation Systems (EPRS) programs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Naval, Pipeline Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least eight years of engineering experience within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Minimum five years focused on subsea pipeline integrity and inspection.
- Technical proficiency in relevant codes and standards such as ASME, API, NACE, and DNV standards.
