Job Overview

Join THE Instinct, a leading company known for its excellent work environment, as an Instrumentation Engineer based in Guwahati, India. This role involves comprehensive responsibility for installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems critical to plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, maintain, calibrate, and resolve issues with instrumentation and control systems.
  • Monitor field devices including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
  • Handle control valves, sensors, switches, gauges, and other related equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and reactive repairs on instrument systems.
  • Troubleshoot industrial control systems such as PLCs, DCS, and SCADA frameworks.
  • Verify proper calibration and ensure precise measurement of instruments.
  • Analyze and interpret process and instrumentation diagrams, datasheets, and electrical schematics.
  • Work collaboratively with electrical, mechanical, production, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth plant function.
  • Keep detailed logs of maintenance, calibration, faults, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Identify and correct instrumentation failures to reduce downtime.
  • Support commissioning and installation of new instrumentation and process control systems.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company quality standards.
  • Manage instrumentation spare parts inventory and vendor communications as needed.
  • Contribute to maintenance shutdowns, turnarounds, and planned preventive maintenance sessions.
  • Prepare comprehensive maintenance and technical reports for management review.
  • Ensure all instrumentation systems function safely, effectively, and reliably.

Required Qualifications and Eligibility

Candidates must hold a Diploma in Electronics and Instrumentation or a Bachelor of Technology/Engineering degree specializing in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation.
