Job description
Role Overview
As a Pharmacy Dispenser at our store, you will play a vital role supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals in delivering safe and efficient pharmacy and healthcare services. You will engage directly with patients, providing advice and assistance while managing prescriptions and overseeing the safe sale of medicines.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately and ensure the safe supply of medications, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collection processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members in managing and executing pharmacy services.
- Offer care and counsel patients regarding their medicines, escalating queries to the Pharmacist as necessary.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures to guarantee safe and legal dispensing practices.
- Stay informed about recent store innovations and comply with operational procedures.
- Assist patients in managing prescriptions effectively to encourage adherence and reduce medication waste.
- Utilize and adapt to evolving pharmacy technologies to enhance patient safety and allow more patient-focused time.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Completed NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor qualification or equivalent, or have completed the first year of an MPharm degree.
- Valid right to work in the UK is mandatory; this position does not support Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience
- Previous exposure to community pharmacy work is advantageous.
