Role Overview
Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser, an essential member supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services within a retail store setting.
Key Duties
- Dispense prescriptions accurately, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collection to guarantee safe medicine supply.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff in the store to manage and deliver effective pharmacy services.
- Offer patients advice about medicines, assisting them in making well-informed healthcare choices and referring complex queries to the Pharmacist.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) rigorously to maintain legal and safe dispensing practices.
- Keep abreast of innovations and adhere to operational processes to enhance service quality.
- Help patients manage medication through reliable repeat prescriptions and support adherence to reduce medicine waste.
Training and Development
Utilize evolving in-store technologies that streamline dispensing and elevate patient safety, allowing more quality time with patients. Expect continuous training updates that grow your healthcare expertise with opportunities to advance as a Pharmacy Technician or into leadership roles.
Qualifications and Eligibility
- Completed Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 (or equivalent) or actively pursuing with at least one year completed of an MPharm program.
- Valid UK right to work; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not provided.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in community pharmacy environment is advantageous.
