About the Role
Randstad, in collaboration with The Hanover Insurance Group, is looking to hire a Paralegal for their legal team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare responses to interrogatories and requests for production.
- Draft standard motions to expedite discovery and more complex motions, including those for summary disposition.
- Conduct investigations such as client and witness interviews.
- Function as an extension of the attorney by responding to routine inquiries from claims personnel and clients.
- Assist with preparations for trials and arbitrations as a key contact.
- Coordinate and formulate responses to subpoenas for documents and information.
- Perform administrative duties including litigation report preparation, managing legal databases and archives, and addressing routine questions.
Experience and Skills
- Typically requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; commitment to confidentiality.
- Broad understanding of specialized legal principles and procedures to manage moderately complex tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, consulting leadership on exceptional matters.
- Proficient with MS Office suite and word processing software.

- Collaborative team player able to work alongside attorneys, adjusters, claims professionals, and support staff.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize efficiently.
- Effective written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Proactive attitude willing to undertake assigned tasks and meet objectives.
- Knowledgeable in court systems, civil procedures, tort, insurance laws, and investigative resources including internet research.
- Ability to summarize medical and other relevant records and draft substantive motions.
- Adaptable and team-focused mindset.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Competent in using personal computers and standard office equipment.
- Capable of sitting and standing for extended durations.
- On-site work required as necessary with travel obligations.
- Ability to perform under fast-paced, changing, or high-pressure conditions.
