Job Overview

Seeking candidates interested in beginning or advancing a career in warehouse operations in Barrie, Ontario. This contract role involves learning the skills required for order picking and packing, with opportunities for full-time employment. The workplace is conveniently located in the south end of Barrie, easily accessible via bus routes.

Work Schedule and Compensation

• Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
• The initial pay rate is $19.50 per hour, with weekly payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and pack orders efficiently, including palletizing products when ready.
• Organize inventory within the warehouse to maintain an orderly environment.
• Retrieve products from shelves carefully, avoiding any damage.
• Verify the correctness of orders to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times.
• Regularly lift items up to 30 pounds as part of daily duties.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to stand and walk continuously for approximately nine hours each day.
• Capable of lifting light weights and comfortable with physical activities.
• Team-oriented attitude with a positive approach to work.
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort with learning scanning technology.
• Good communication abilities and wearing safety footwear is mandatory.
