Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned IT Specialist to manage and support endpoint devices and applications across a varied client base. This includes overseeing endpoint management technologies, application security, optimization, and troubleshooting within a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint devices such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and IoT hardware.
- Ensure all endpoints are consistently updated with the latest software patches and security configurations following client standards.
- Manage deployment and maintenance of applications to ensure security compliance and optimal performance.
- Monitor software usage, license adherence, and efficiently handle software updates and patches.
- Keep detailed documentation of endpoint and application setups and management protocols.
- Implement and uphold endpoint and application security measures to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and compliance with corporate policies and industry standards.
- Continuously monitor security and performance of endpoints and applications.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to enhance deployment, update processes, monitoring, and troubleshooting, thereby improving operational efficiency.
- Provide second and third-level support to users, diagnosing and resolving endpoint, application, and connectivity issues.
- Create training materials, user guides, and FAQs; conduct sessions to promote user understanding of security best practices and IT policies.
- Handle vendor relations, procurement, licensing, warranty management, and maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and software licenses.
- Stay updated on the latest endpoint and application management trends and tools, recommending improvements and participating in IT projects related to endpoint services.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in endpoint and application management within a managed services environment.
- Skilled in endpoint management tools such as JumpCloud, Clonezilla, or equivalents.
- Hands-on experience managing applications like Google Workspace, Office 365, Active Directory, Adaxes, Atlassian suite, Crowdstrike, JumpCloud, Zendesk, Slack, and multifactor authentication tools.
- Experience with automation platforms, including Ansible.
- Proficient with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems including installation and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Competence in scripting languages for automation and troubleshooting.
- Certifications such as Google Workspace Administrator, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or ITIL Foundation are advantageous.
