About the Company
A professional services firm, resembling the Big-4 style, is establishing its India centre and has partnered to recruit an HR Generalist. This role supports multiple practice groups as the centre expands, requiring a balance of structured HR practices with the dynamic pace common in professional services. The platform facilitating this is a managed marketplace aiding global companies in building effective teams and global capability centres (GCCs) within India.
Role Overview
The HR Generalist will be responsible for comprehensive HR support across the centre, including advising practice leads, resolving employee relations concerns, and ensuring consistent policy enforcement and compliance across the various practice groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with practice leaders and managers to manage daily HR issues.
- Address employee relations matters and conduction performance-related discussions with sensitivity.
- Provide coaching to managers regarding feedback, behavior, and personnel decisions.
- Implement HR policies consistently across multiple practice units.
- Ensure adherence to Indian labour laws and conduct internal HR compliance audits.
- Monitor HR metrics and generate reports for leadership review.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 3 to 7 years of experience in HR generalist or HR business partner roles.
- Comfortable providing counsel to senior stakeholders spanning several teams.
- Possess working knowledge of Indian labour legislation and compliance matters.
- Have proficient written and verbal English communication skills and a dependable remote work arrangement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a professional services, consulting, or Big-4-like environment.
- Understanding of utilization and staffing frameworks typical to service firms.
- Academic credentials such as an MBA or a postgraduate degree in human resources.
