Food & Beverage Assistant

About the Role

Hermitage House, a luxury 67-bed care home in Thrapston, Northamptonshire, is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join Country Court's family-run care business. This position involves part-time, onsite work totaling 30 hours per week with rota-based weekend shifts from 08:00 to 18:30. The home offers a premium living environment with personalised care for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver meals, snacks, and drinks to residents attentively.
• Maintain snack stations by restocking them regularly.
• Ensure cleanliness following meal service.
• Reset tables including cloths for subsequent meals.
• Keep dining and kitchen areas tidy and hygienic.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual to contribute to a person-centred atmosphere for our residents and strengthen community connections. Candidates should have:

• Strong customer service abilities.
• Previous experience in food and beverage assistance or similar hospitality roles.
• Sound knowledge of the food or restaurant industry.
• Awareness of COSHH and health and safety regulations.
• A warm, friendly, and compassionate demeanor.
• Capacity to engage positively with residents and their families.
• Understanding of Dementia care principles.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Relevant Experience

Ideal candidates may have background experience as waiters or waitresses, catering assistants, maître d’s, food runners, bartenders, sommeliers, hosts/hostesses, or dining assistants.
