About the Role
Elecnor New Zealand Limited is seeking a seasoned Electrical Supervisor to become a key part of our team in Tauhei, Waikato. In this pivotal position, you will lead electrical operational and maintenance efforts, ensuring adherence to safety protocols while managing a skilled team of electrical technicians. Your role directly affects the stability and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure and supports Elecnor New Zealand's broader goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, organize, and coordinate electrical maintenance and installation projects and daily operations within assigned zones.
- Guarantee compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and legislation such as the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Manage, guide, and mentor electrical technicians, delivering training and constructive performance feedback.
- Schedule and allocate resources strategically to minimize downtime and enhance productivity of electrical tasks.
- Conduct thorough pre-task inspections and safety briefings to ensure team awareness of work demands and hazards.
- Identify and resolve electrical issues effectively through troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
- Document all maintenance activities, maintaining detailed reports and records of electrical work performed.
- Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and clients for updates, problem-solving, and communication of project status.
- Track and manage the inventory of electrical equipment, including procurement of necessary materials and supplies.
- Recognize and implement improvements in processes and best practices within electrical maintenance activities.
- Respond swiftly to emergency electrical faults and coordinate urgent repair interventions.
Candidate Profile
- Authorization to work in New Zealand is mandatory.
- Valid electrical license issued by an authorized state or territory body is required.
- Documented success in leading electrical teams and managing related projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local electrical regulations, standards, and legislation.
- Strong technical expertise in electrical systems and installation, with current awareness of related technologies.
- Possession of a valid Driver Licence.
- Hold a Construction Passport.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
- A strong focus on safety, encompassing risk management, hazard identification, and appropriate controls.
- Proven leadership and motivational skills, capable of encouraging team members to meet objectives.
