About the Role
Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization based in the Pittsburgh area, is looking to hire a Digital Marketing Associate on a freelance-to-hire basis. This position suits a detail-focused marketing professional who enjoys merging creativity with analytics and teamwork to enhance audience engagement and strengthen digital marketing outcomes across email, web, and social platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and implement digital marketing campaigns involving email, website, and social media channels, covering both organic and paid promotions.
- Design, execute, and optimize email campaigns including segmentation, testing, ensuring quality, and conducting post-campaign reviews.
- Create and oversee organic content on social media and assist with paid social advertising by managing audience targeting, creative tests, and monitoring performance.
- Develop and maintain event and campaign webpages and landing pages, ensuring user-friendly experience, high quality, and optimized conversion rates.
- Maintain and update reporting dashboards; leverage analytics to detect trends, evaluate campaign success, and recommend improvements across marketing channels.
- Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate timelines, manage content flow and creative resources, and ensure smooth campaign delivery.
- Support marketing system updates, troubleshoot issues, and document best practices for continuous improvement.
- Utilize AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency, create content, and enhance overall campaign effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university.
- Between 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, particularly within email marketing and social media channels.
- Skill in testing and optimizing campaigns, including subject lines, creative assets, calls to action, audience targeting, and performance analysis.
- Experience building and updating webpages or landing pages, preferably using WordPress or equivalent platforms.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency with email marketing software, social media tools, data analytics platforms, and digital design software such as Canva and Adobe Photoshop.
- Ability to analyze data, extract insights, and communicate actionable recommendations clearly.
- Experience working collaboratively with teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Bonus qualifications include familiarity with CRM or marketing automation systems, basic HTML/CSS knowledge, and experience with web analytics software.
- Previous involvement with mission-driven or nonprofit organizations is an advantage.
Additional Information
This role is offered on a freelance-to-hire basis with a pay rate of $30 per hour. It follows a hybrid work schedule requiring onsite presence on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
